The Elevator Key
A Music-Physical Theatre piece
Synopsis:
In the castle dominating the city, the lady sits waiting by the window, locked away from the outside world, ever since she was caught receiving flowers from another man. Her husband carries with him the key to the elevator connecting their home with the exterior. Imprisoned, her mind and body have never been the same. Adapted from a play by renowned Hungarian writer, Ágota Kristóf, this is an urban fable across time and space. Director Wu May Bo and composer Patricio Chan created and merged elements of music and physical theatre in an innovative piece. This play will inspire and induce the audience’s imagination through an unusual narrative. The premiere of 'The Elevator Key' was commissioned and hosted by the Macau Cultural Centre. |
